Jibrin (pronounced Jib-REEN) is the beautiful new cookbook from Izzeddeen Alkarajeh and Eman Aburabi of Cork’s beloved Izz Café. Known for their manaeesh, fresh pittas, traditional desserts and house-roasted coffee, Izz and Eman have brought the warmth of Palestinian hospitality to the heart of the city.
Named after Eman’s family hometown of Beit Jibrin, this book takes readers on a culinary journey through the flavours and traditions of Palestine - from sumac-roast chicken on flatbread (musakhan) to shish barak, makdous and the famous knafeh.
